Bihar Elections 2025: Stop the Political Daydreaming – Meri Baat

📌 इस ब्लॉग में

Bihar elections are over. A majority government is in place. Yet, some leaders are still hoping that Nitish Kumar will abandon BJP and join them. Why this desperation? Instead of dreaming about power, the opposition should focus on their real job — holding the government accountable. Here's my honest take.

Namaskar.

The Bihar elections are over. A majority government has been formed. Only the oath-taking ceremony remains. But even now, the "taka-jhanki" (political peeking and hoping) has started.

Some leaders believe that Nitish Kumar will still leave BJP, join their side, form a new government, and comfortably run it for the next five years.

But wait — can't he run the government for five years in the NDA alliance where he already is?

Yes, people are creating their own perceptions. Some believe Nitish Kumar won't complete five years because BJP wants their own Chief Minister. They think he might be replaced and given some respectable post elsewhere.

"These are all perception games. But the reality is — he is the Chief Minister right now, and there's a strong possibility he will continue for the full five years."

🤔 Why the "Taka-Jhanki"?

Why are suggestions being thrown at Nitish Kumar to switch sides?

If the same leaders had given proper suggestions to their own party members before the elections — advising them to work on the ground, understand what the public wants, and focus on real issues — the results might have been different today.

But now that they have lost, the habit of "taka-jhanki" still hasn't gone away.

💡 My Take: This clearly shows how desperate they are to come to power. Of course, every political party wants to be in power — that's natural. But at least win on your own merit first, then dream about ruling.

🚫 Stop the Temptation Game

If you had lost by just a few seats, some political engineering would have made sense. Breaking and forming alliances — that happens.

But after a clear defeat, why try to lure leaders from the ruling side?

Do you really think Nitish Kumar will come to your side? And do you think the current government will sit quietly if he tries?

⚠️ Reality Check: Instead of wasting your energy on this, focus on where your party lost and why. Discuss why the public rejected you. That would be far more useful.

⚖️ Play Your Role as Opposition

The duty of the opposition is clear:

✅ Raise the right issues

✅ Go among the public

✅ Hold the government accountable

✅ Push them to take the right steps and focus on development

This is your responsibility now. Stop dreaming that you are about to come to power.

Fulfill your role as the opposition — and do it well. If you perform, the public may bring you back in the next election. But for now, put a full stop to this daydreaming. Nothing seems likely to change.

❓ Unanswered Questions

The government has been formed, but many questions remain. The opposition is raising several issues. How many are valid and how many are not — the people of Bihar will decide.

But one question stood out to me:

"During elections, when the Model Code of Conduct was in effect, the government distributed ₹100 to women in Bihar. This should not have happened."

The Election Commission neither stopped it nor made any statement about it. Such things need to be controlled to maintain public trust.

There are many such issues — and sooner or later, the government will have to answer them.

🗳️ On "Vote Theft" and Other Allegations

What is vote theft and what isn't — let those involved figure it out. Political parties have their own fundamental positions, and accusations fly from all sides.

But the basic needs of the people cannot be ignored. These must be addressed by any government in power.

🙏 Expectations From the New Government

We hope this government works sincerely. Don't just make false promises and disappear for five years. Do real work.

As for the talk of "Jungle Raj" — let's be honest. Crime and atrocities happen under every government. No one can claim a perfectly clean record.

But the rise in crime that happened earlier — we hope it comes down now.

Everyone's dignity must be protected.
Let no one feel hurt or disrespected.

This is the expectation from the new government of Bihar.
